School Achievement Plan Process Guide

 

Continuous improvement is at the heart of student success. The refreshed School Achievement Plan (SAP) Process Guide strengthens coherence across the system by connecting classroom instruction, school planning, and system priorities. Grounded in the Everyday Conditions for Learning, the guide recognizes that achievement, well-being, and belonging are inseparable and that effective school improvement begins with understanding the student experience.

 

Aligned with the Student Achievement Plan and 2025-2026 MYSP System Action Plan, the process helps schools implement and monitor continuous improvement through the four phases of the Continuous Improvement Process: Observe, Engage and Examine; Uncover and Prioritize; Strategize and Plan; and Act, Monitor, Reflect, and Adjust. This cyclical inquiry model enables educators to use student-centered evidence to identify needs, plan responsive instruction, and measure progress in literacy, numeracy, and well-being.

 

The guide also supports the deepening and implementation of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and the Everyday Conditions for Learning. Through intentional planning and reflection, educators work collaboratively to remove barriers, design accessible instruction, and create learning environments where every student can thrive. Superintendent Visits and SAP Check-ins focus on how students experience learning, belonging, and engagement, ensuring that improvement is informed by both data and lived experience.

 

By embedding continuous improvement into everyday practice, the School Achievement Plan Process Guide builds coherence across classrooms, schools, and the system. It reinforces the shared commitment that when educators learn together, reflect deeply, and act with purpose, every student benefits academically, socially, and emotionally.
